Hans Teeuwen was Holland's most popular comedian, but stopped performing stand up there in 2004 and these days he is known in his homeland as a jazz singer and a staunch defender of free speech. He only plays comedy shows in the UK and has received five star reviews and lavish praise for his unique take on stand up comedy. An acquired taste for sure; if you like your bland comedians like Michael McIntyre, Lee Evans and John Bishop, this probably isn't your cup of tea.
