Kurokami The Animation: Keita Ibuki is an ordinary if slightly lonely highschool student. His mother died under unusual circumstances when he was just a child, and since then he has been reluctant to get close to people. His childhood friend Akane Sano tries to look after Keita by making him food, doing his laundry ,etc. But still Keita keeps his distance from her. One day while eating dinner at a small ramen shop he encounters a strange girl named Kuro. Keita eventually buys her dinner as he feels sorry for her. Then out of nowhere, Kuro is attacked by a large man. Keita tries to intervene but is unable to help, though he shouldn't have bothered as Kuro quickly defeats the man. The next day, Keita finds Kuro raiding his fridge.
