The Art Of America: After travelling to In Levittown, Andrew finds out about the dark side of post-war consumerism and the part artists have played in helping to challenge the status quo. He then makes his way to New York's Metropolitan Museum to take a look at the artwork of 1950s America, Jasper Johns's White Flag. He also takes a look at Andy Warhol's soup can paintings and and talks to James Rosenquist. After making his way to Los Angeles, Andrew takes a look at the graphic style of Ed Ruscha and the city's contribution to 20th century design called Googie architecture.
