Lads Army: Clown Chris Townsend sends the staff anonymous demands for the return of a garden gnome he stole, but it's fund and adopted as official platoon mascot. After two weeks, the bad lads generally master chores and get progress report interviews, for several quit encouraging, even for life in general. Next exercises day's long march includes a river crossing, malingering attempts by John Kyprianou -the medic lost count- and Townsend only get aggro from staff and comrades, while good examples inspire the sections, only the malingerers hinder a collective platoon arrival.
